Authenticating Facebook uploads

The first time you choose to upload photos or videos to Facebook, you are prompted for your Facebook account details and to specify other authentication preferences, such as whether you want to allow photo uploads and video uploads from within the Logitech Webcam Software.

You only need to do this the first time you upload to Facebook. The Logitech Webcam Software remembers the details you enter and looks after everything for you when you want to upload to Facebook again in the future.

· The details you record and permissions you allow as part of this process apply only when logged on to your computer as the current Windows user. If a different user logs on, they will not have access to your Facebook account.

To record your Facebook account details and specify your authentication preferences:

1. In the Gallery, click WebCam icon gallery facebook Authenticating Facebook uploads Facebook. The Get Started with Facebook wizard launches.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the wizard. You are taken through the following stages:
· Welcome to Facebook Setup.
Click Let’s Start Now! to proceed.
· Login.
Click Log in with Facebook, enter your Facebook account details and click Connect.

If you don’t have a Facebook account, click Sign up for Facebook; complete your Facebook registration and then return to the wizard to proceed.

· Allow Video Uploads from Logitech Webcam Software.
If you want the Logitech Webcam Software to be able to upload videos to Facebook without asking for your permission each time, click Allow Video Uploads. Click Don’t Allow if you don’t want to grant this permission.
· Allow Photo Uploads from Logitech Webcam Soft.
If you want the Logitech Webcam Software to be able to upload photos to Facebook without asking for your permission each time, click Allow Photo Uploads. Click Don’t Allow if you don’t want to grant this permission.
· Allow Constant Authorization.
If you want the Logitech Webcam Software to retain your Facebook login credentials so that you are not prompted for these details each time you want to upload, click Allow. If you don’t want these details retained, click Don’t Allow; in this case you will have to log in each time you upload.

· You can subsequently change the details you enter and the selections you make here in the Gallery settings. See Gallery settings for details.

When you have completed this process, the following message is displayed: Success! You can now upload photos and videos to your Facebook account.

3. Click:
· Upload if you want to upload photos or videos to Facebook now; the remainder of the procedure is the same as when uploading to Facebook on all subsequent occasions. See steps 5 and 6 of Uploading to Facebook for details.
· Logout to complete the procedure if you don’t want to upload photos or videos at the present time. The next time you choose to upload photos and videos to Facebook, the Logitech Webcam Software will automate this process in accordance with your authentication preferences.
