To e-mail photos or videos:
To access the Gallery, click at the Logitech Webcam Software home page. (The Gallery is also available at the bottom of the screen when using Quick Capture or Motion Detection.)
2. | Select the tab showing the photos or videos you want to e-mail. |
Note
· | To e-mail a combination of photos and videos, select the All Content tab.
|
3. | Select the photos and videos you want to e-mail. |
To select a range of photos or videos to e-mail, click the first item, hold down the Shift key, and then click the last item. To select several specific photos or videos to e-mail, click the first item, hold down the Ctrl key, and then click the other items. You can select up to five items to e-mail.
An e-mail is created in your default e-mail program (such as Microsoft® Outlook®, Outlook Express or Lotus Notes®) with the photos or videos you selected attached. The e-mail has:
· | A default subject line ‘Logitech Mail’. You can overtype or add to this line if required. |
· | An introductory message explaining to the recipient of the e-mail how to view the photos. Again, you can overtype or add to this. |
5. | Select the recipients who are to receive the e-mail in the usual way, and send it. |
Note
· | You can change the default program used to e-mail photos or videos; see Gallery settings for details.
|
· | If an e-mail isn’t created when you click E-mail, this may be because your e-mail application is not MAPI-compliant. (Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, Netscape® 4.0, Microsoft Exchange and Eudora® are all MAPI-compliant and so should work without a problem.) If you are unsure whether your e-mail program is MAPI-compliant, please contact your e-mail application manufacturer.
|
· | It is not possible to use web-based e-mail services such as Gmail or Yahoo! Mail to email photos and videos directly from the Gallery; you must use an email client such as Microsoft Outlook. (Web-based e-mail services do not permit third-party applications to attach files to e-mails for security reasons.) If you don’t have a supported e-mail application installed, or if you don’t want to e-mail photos or videos directly from the Gallery, you can remove the E-Mail button; see Gallery settings for details.
|
· | If an e-mail is created but your photos are not attached, this may be because your e-mail application or service does not permit third-party applications to attach files to e-mails for security reasons. Please check the documentation provided by your e-mail application or service. Some web-based e-mail services provide a plug-in that you can install to enable this feature to work. |
