General settings

You can specify a range of general settings for your Logitech Webcam Software so that it works exactly as you want it to.

To do this, click Preferences at the top of the Logitech Webcam Software window. The Logitech Webcam Software Settings window opens on the General tab. Update the settings using the following table as a guide.

Webcam Controller Settings

Show webcam icon in system tray

Check this box if you want the Logitech Webcam Software system tray icon,WebCam icon camera helper General settings, to be displayed in the Windows taskbar. Uncheck it if you don’t want the system tray icon to be shown.

Check this box if you want the Webcam controller to launch automatically when you start using your webcam, or leave it unchecked if you want to launch it yourself when you need it. (The Webcam controller can be launched from the Webcam Software home page or the system tray.)

Keep webcam controller on top of other applications

Check this box if you want the Helper to be visible at all times when you are using other applications.

When your general settings are as you want them to be, click Save to apply them and close the window.

You can click Restore to Defaults at any time to cancel any changes you have made to your Logitech Webcam Software settings, restoring them to their original state as they were when you first started using your webcam.
